I would have thought Muller in a trade for Happ would have made some sense, but Muller is gone now. Maybe AA isn't interested in Happ, or the Cubs are planning to hold onto him, or both.

Yeah, they got better with Murphy.
Nothing in our current farm system. Other teams would have better packages if he should become available.

Ozuna and Rosario would have to be the starting point IMO......

We have all of those positions filled. They will just be average to below average in those spots.
Probably. And I wouldn't be shocked if we got average production out of SS this year. The big upgrade will come at LF/DH at the trade deadline.

It appears you were right. But the positive is how cheap of a contract he's signed to. Especially relative to the market. Being paid $1.3 million this year with a $2 million club option for next year.
Disappointing offseason as of now - and not entirely our fault given the market but still frustrating
We came in with gaps in left field, and shortstop and debatably DH but overall ok with Contreras getting big DH ABs. We've now created a hole at DH (you can't assume you get by with just catchers at DH and Contreras is also a much better bet offensively at DH than TD so its overall a downgrade that probably opens up lot of ABs for Ozuna).
Left-field is arguably worse because we don't have Duvall or Grossman so its basically all Rosario / Ozuna.
Shortstop clearly going to be worse
Albeit he had his struggles we still lost Jansen a valuable reliever (wouldn't want to have brought back but he was a positive WAR last year)
We've got all this money and haven't been able to use it because market is nuts so not our fault...
We obviously have organic benefit of Albies offsetting good portion of Swanson hit and Acuna has substantial upside so we should replace it organically but still disappointing

It doesn't seem like AA likes having a set DH. He seems to prefer rotating players through that position
