ozzie will be gone at the end of his deal. I don’t think AA will re-extent him.
acuna’s deal still goes on for another 3-4 years I think after that.
Nope. Albies controlled through 2027. Acuna controlled through 2028.
Acuna has a bunch of team options.

Ozzie is only guaranteed 25M over the next 3 years. Ronnie only 78 over the next 4.
Look at the FA market, Ozzie is pretty comparable to D.J. LeMahieu in terms of performance recently. Ozzie is obviously younger. DJ just signed a 6 year 90 million contract. Essentially we have Ozzie on a 5 year 35M contract. I'd offer him something like a 9 year (say 6 guaranteed) deal worth a max of 115M. it would still offer us a savings as Ozzie assuming he's healthy when he hits FA should easily clear 4/80 as a 30/31 year old free agent, and ROnnie again right now on essentially a 6/102 contract, try to get him on like a 10/220 contract. ANd do them before Soto signs. Soto is gonna break the market here in a year.

Now you're putting words in my mouth. Acuna is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, player in the sport. He rightfully can act however he wants. All I'm saying is we've seen the tendency in the past for Acuna to act out when he doesn't get his way. The latest example being when the Braves didn't give him permission to play for Venezuela in the WBC (before changing their mind). Instead of handling it behind closed doors he made his gripe public. I dunno, but I don't think I've ever once heard Acuna say he loves playing for the Braves (I'm not saying he doesn't). I personally love Acuna, nothing he does bothers me, it doesn't hurt the team and I don't want him off the team. I was just making a statement of what I've observed about his character.

Not entirely a shot towards you at all. I know he's polarizing and does some interestingly maddening stuff. By all accounts he works hard, enjoys the game and YES now has an inflated ego as a rich 20 something year old with the world as his oyster. To keep it short though...he'll be a Brave until he doesn't want to be. I think he's happy being one at the moment.

Yeah but that’s what we should have done. Dude had a down season coming off a major injury. I’m surprised they told him to go ahead and play especially after letting him play winter ball. He basically had no rest this offseason.

He didn't play much in winter ball, and the Braves doctors feel he is 100%. They will also get to see him in camp for a few weeks before the WBC starts so they can pull the plug if they feel they need to.
If it is something your star player really wants to do and he is healthy, that is the important part, then i'd say go ahead and do it. You don't get this opportunity every year.
