Official official offseason thread

Basically 5 times what Soto went for. Given how friendly his deal is, but yeah i dont even wanna imagine what we could get.

It’d probably have to be a 3 team trade for us to get the value we would need back. I’d hate to trade Acuna during our window but it would extend the window probably another 5-7 years.

Dodgers and Kershaw nearing 1 year deal per Ken. Same story, different year.

Got me thinking what we could get for Acuna. Not that i'd want to trade him, just wondering how much we could get from a team.

The only conceivable way we even consider trading Acuna is if the behind-the-scenes relationship is utterly toxic to an extent we never could have imagined. Like, the-parties-aren't-even-talking-to-each-other toxic. And if things are that bad, we probably wouldn't get the return for Acuna we'd need to get.

So, you know, I'm skeptical, is what I'm saying.

The "rumor" is because of Acuna's contract and i think eventually once theres 2-3 years left we re-do it. This rumor is that Acuna would be mad that Dansby would be paid more than him. Thats something i highly doubt.

Didn’t seem to bother him when Riley, Olson, and Morton got paid more than him.

This whole thing is ****ing stupid, made up by stupid people.

MLB Trade Rumors’ predictions are out and they have the Braves signing essentially no one. This mess is weird

Been saying this. I think we will be bargain shopping. Hope I am wrong, but with us already being close to the tax threshold I just dont see it. Really hope Morton bounces back

AA hasnt came this far in building the team and locking up the core to not spend on SS. I’ll believe the bargain shopping when I see it.

spending $20M on Morton makes no sense in this scenario unless AA legitimately thinks he’s a top-tier dude still. But Alex isn’t stupid

I will laugh unendingly at DOB if the Braves sign Turner or Correa and smash through the luxury tax. I know it’s not extremely likely but it would be an amazing moment.

Morton's deal makes a ton of sense if you are planning to deal someone near the top of the starting rotation. Two years of Arbitration remaining on Fried. That's generally when a young talented SP gets dealt for the big haul, right?

Strider, Wright and Morton as a big 3 with Anderson, Mueller, Soroka, Elder, Ynoa, Shuster and Tarnok battling for the 4/5 spots and the rotation spots in AAA.

What does Fried net you in a compensation package that includes a proven young SS or a top tier prospect?
