There will be a log jam at AAA, because so many of them are at the same level. Hey, I’m for keeping them all and and letting the one or two that clicks develop. I don’t see how you get all those guys starts with only five spots available and NONE able to start on the big league roster (if Newk is the fifth guy)...unless there are injuries.

At AAA? How? Touki, Wright, Wilson and Anderson are the only 4 guys that matter. One of them will be in the MLB rotation if Newk goes to the BP. The rest are place holder arms with almost zero trade value.

Where exactly is the logjam?

Weigel, Ynoa, Muller, De La Cruz, Davidson....none of these guys matter??

Did you check the twitter account of the bravesinsider? He change his avatar picture with a Josh Donaldson and the picture on his shoulder say Luke Jackson... 🤔

The overrating of Braves pitching prospects continues.

I’m not saying any are HOFers lol. I would say out of the nine or ten....one or two will stick (maybe three if we are lucky), and it probably won’t be who we think. That’s why they have to get starts.

If the Braves opening day payroll has jumped to $155M+, I don’t think anyone can say with any confidence what the upper limit actually is. This jump in payroll is bigger than any rational expectations.

I still expect a RHH cOFer to be acquired, and there’s no way I’m going to say it won’t be someone like Puig or Haniger after how the Braves have spent this year.

It's a results oriented business. Some of them will get starts. Others wont.

Let's assume JD signs at 4 years little over 100 million, would we be done at that point?

Looks like a yes. Any other move big would be a trade. I could see them moving Ender to clear the 7mil off the books IF it was a move that could help (like Haniger)...but thats unlikely.

I think that quite a few people projected a payroll in this range based on all financial data released.

I still think if we wanna be a serious threat that we need one more bat. NC, Ozuna, Marte, or Haniger, any one of those makes us the favorites in the NL. If we sign JD then the first 2 are probably out. I’d say Haniger or Marte fits perfect.

If this JD rumor is correct the Braves are sitting at $155M+, which is truly remarkable. Even if they have to pare some away by dumping someone like Greene, the increase in payroll is very encouraging.

4/104 for a 34 year old JD and 3/40 for a 30 year old BP arm are the exact win now moves folks have been screaming for the last few years. We are about to see how these types of deals play out. Hopefully JD ages like Beltre, and Smith ages like...some BP arm that aged well.

If we could trade Greene and Duval and maybe a minor league pitcher for Marte and somehow trade Ender for a cheap young backup OF or use Ortega As a backup and Riley as platoon with NMarkakis could we afford Donaldson and Marte?
