i think the Rockies could kick in cash for a better prospect package and the casual fan ("it's not my money") wouldn't bat too much of an eye.
they can't trade him for very little while providing zero cash like his contract dictates tho. the fans would be extremely upset.

The casual fans are only going to see that the Rockies traded their best player.

He is younger, though not by much - he's about a year and a half younger than Ozuna, who I thought was much older than he actually is. Which is maybe why I feel the way I do - Ozuna just has the feel of someone who's degrading in front of us. He's a fraction of the player he was just a couple years ago.

I doubt anything like that happens—at worst, those teams have to “vacate” their championships. But you don’t just award titles to the losing team on the assumption that they would’ve won but for the infractions.
