Official Offseason Thread

I dunno... the Athletic article on King Felix makes it sound like he's right there for the BSOML headline too. The healthiest and most fit he's been in 2 years apparently.

There is the same chance that you or I would be successful as the fifth starter as Felix being successful as the fifth starter.

His arm is gelatin.

You might be overestimating 5th starters. You can be pretty bad and be a "successful" 5th starter. If he eats some innings, fills in for an injury, and takes a bit of stress of young arms, he'll be a success.

His arm wasn't hurt last year. It was a leg/quad problem he tried to pitch through. Betting he'll win more games than Hamels this year.

They made it up to save face. It sounded better on the injury report than "inability to pitch." Which is his real problem.

Let's make a leave the board bet. Hamels wins more than Felix and Enscheff leaves the board.

The Giants aren't inviting Huff to the 10-year reunion of their WS win. Thoughts?

My thoughts are that Huff is a grown man in America, so he has every right to tweet any dumbass thing that comes to his mind. But you can either tweet any dumbass thought that comes to mind or you can enjoy the benefits of being a beloved member of the Giants community who never pisses anyone off, but you can't do both, and Huff is angry that he can't.

Huff is an idiot. Putting aside his political choices, he certainly has the right to say whatever he wants (within limits for hate speech and the like) under the First Amendment but that does not mean his statements don't have consequences. He's made some asinine (no cringe worthy) statements on twitter and now he's trying to pin the decision solely on his voting choices which is inaccurate.

of course the clown tries to pin it on his political beliefs and not the fact that he's joked about rape on twitter (among other gross things). and of course he calls it "locker room humor." i've been in locker rooms my entire life and never heard ONE guy joke about rape. talk about women? sure. joke about rape, or grabbing women by their vaginas? na. most dudes i know wouldn't hear that.
