Saw this on Twitter: Spencer Strider saying “we’ll see how that offense works in October” as the Mets lose their first series scoring 1 and 0 runs in the losses is absolutely perfect
My phone won’t post it for some reason or I would.

Any foreign substance I imagine would be illegal. However, Red Hot doesn't really leave a residue behind from what I read, so I am not sure they would be able to really tell if he had it on or not.
I was in a Mets Space on Twitter last night and the curator was talking about how anything less than Ohtani and Judge is a massive failure by Cohen and the rest of the organization. We love these knee-jerk Mets fans.
Bowman said they still haven’t decided what role he might play during the NLDS. I think he might not be ready to start but could come out of the pen. We'll see.
I don’t like idea of him coming out of pen - if he needs to build up stamina let’s just give him a 4 inning start - already seen this movie when we went fried in relief 3 years ago. Being in the pen will just compound itself and then he won’t be able to start vs the Dodgers either if we advance and potentially entire playoffs. If he needs to build stamina, pitching 20 pitches a night isn’t going to do the trick. Best option is position strider to be a starter in the playoffs. I’m concerned will have a hybrid approach and shoot our selves in the foot and never get a clean Strider outing throughout the playoffs
I feel like we have tended to way over think things in the playoffs like when we put fried in the pen or went Soroka game three or started Lee last year despite literally no experience. Keep it simple - in a worst case that just means strider starts a game that we know will need more bullpen help if pitch count runs up.
