I’m sure glad we didn’t resign Anibal Sanchez this past offseason, dude is a bum.
Would have hated to have to start him instead of someone like DK.
I mean, Anibal has been fine this year, but he hasn't exactly been a world beater. He had a good game, but the dude is about to be 36 years old and the Nats are going to owe him at least 13 million dollars over the next 1-2 years, 23 million if they decide to pick up his option (2 million from this year and 2020 is deferred to 2021; the option also has a 2 million dollar buyout so they'll owe him at least 6 million in 2021 regardless).
I don't blame AA for not beating that contract on the open market for a 35 year old pitcher.
I agree. AA spent more short term money on DK...a guy with more post season experience. In a very Braves way...DK didn’t perform. Just glad we didn’t sign Kimbrel also.
This has more to do with the fact the Cardinals have no business being there. The Nats will win this series easily. Our Braves were the far better team and just choked...and by doing that....we also left a easy path for the Nats to make it to the WS. It’s maddening on so many levels.
The Cards will be lucky to win one game in this series to a team that we pretty much took 2 of 3 from every time we played them. Think about that.
Now it’s Scherzer’s turn to dominate the Cardinals. No hitter through 5 and a third with 10 strikeouts.
Sucks to suck, Cards. Probably shouldn't have talked so much after the NLDS, now you just look like assholes.
The Cardinals fans and players now turning their anger toward Juan Soto. Such a first-class organization.

You know that saying “ if everyone you meet seems like an asshole, maybe you are the asshole ? “ Seems like it fits for STL and their attitude this postseason well
Also- Soto may be old as hell but he isn’t a player you can easily hate without working at it. Unless you hate atrocious defense.
Looks like the Angel's, not just Skaggs, have an opioid problem.
Other teams too?
I don’t know, but the Braves were on something during this series.
