I just can't believe the Braves are going to be in position to draft one of Wright/Lewis/Gore and there are even whispers they are considering taking a signability guy. It is incredibly disappointing, to say the least.

Reading the last few pages I wonder why we even employ scouts. Just draft whoever the "experts" says is BPA.

Heyman says Royce Lewis has a high price tag.

And THAT might be where we are cooling on him.

If we have something decent lined up with say Beck and know we need a little more to make it happen, then that's basically off the table to go over slot at 5.

See, no one has reported the Braves have a deal with Beck or credited a source within the Braves organization with saying they are looking to draft underslot at 5, but these are both being taken seriously. We will find out for sure before the night is over.

FG just put their FV values on the draft prospects. There are 2 guys with 60s (Wright and Greene), and 3 guys with 55s (Gore, McKay, and Lewis). There is a clear Top 5, and the Braves will be in position to acquire 1 of them. Let's hope they do the right thing haha.

I think they like Wright a LOT and Gore as well, but don't think Gore gets there.

I don't understand your attempt at being clever. The "experts" get their info directly from scouts and front office personnel...who are informed by scouts.

The stuff we are discussing is second hand info pulled directly from the scouting community.
