He makes a lot of judgement errors in the field. Look at the pop fly he called Heyward off of last night. Granted JHey has priority on that play but Tommy just flat out

missed the ball. up the middle the Braves have an All-World Defensive SS. That is it. Besides I was shocked to hear/see his production in the 2 hole. A far better hitter at 7 than 2

5) I agree with the mix up part. But the guys you use as examples just aren't available unless the names Kimbrell or Simmons are involved

Said it before, more interested to see what happens this offseason than the rest of this year.

Anyway.

I'd say- Julio, Freeman, Kimbrel, Simmons are off-limits. Everyone else is fair game.

I'd try to re-sign Heyward, if not, i'd shop him assuming he declines.

Obviously they need to upgrade the offense but what can they do realistically speaking?

I guess you can trade Gattis to an AL team...

CJ's contract is tradeable, Headley on a 1-yr deal makes sense.

Other than that, there isnt much you can do other than maybe trade BJ to take off a bad contract.

Kimbrel's definately the problem, not the crappy offense.

He hasnt had a typical year but he's been fine for the most part.

It's not really an extension, they just added an extra year to his "control" so to speak.

Still, that contract is easily moveable.
 
I would love for them to sign Rusney Castillo. Predicted contract is 6 years 50 million. The only outfielder signed past 2015 is Bad Job Upton.

Tell me why McDowell is sacred? Every other post is how FG mis uses the bullpen and who advises him on the who,what and whens of the staff.
His saving grace this season has been the acquisition of Earvin Santana and Aaron Harang.
