Offseason Hot Stove 2024-25 Thread

Tanner Scott is a big bullpen piece and for him to be radio silent is weird. Maybe some are right and there is an agreement with the Braves and they won't announce anything until whatever else gets done.

Twins say trade talks have heated up in recent weeks. Considering the Braves and Twins have arguably been the 2 most quiet teams in free agency thus farm, I think something is brewing for us.

New trade idea:

Braves get: Pablo Lopez, Willi Castro, and take on Christian Vazquez and his 10 million due.

Twins get: AJSS, Nacho Alvarez, Bryce Elder, and throw-in prospect.

Pablo is the main prize. Castro splits time at LF and SS. Vazquez starts the year as the back-up catcher.

Twins reach their goal of shedding over 30 million in 2025 payroll (along with Lopez' future salary) and they get 3 players that can help their MLB team stay competitive in 2025 and beyond.

Lopez and Correa would be a big haul for us.

The new evil empire. It just makes it that much more fun to beat them. So now that is over maybe everything else can pick up.

The frustrating part is that he held up the entire 2nd half of the offseason to make the decision every single person knew he was going to make. Toronto must be sick of these Japanese players stringing them along like this.

Perhaps now the Padres and/or Jays will decide to rebuild and trade guys like Cease and Bichette. We can only hope the Sasaki damn breaking finally allows AA to actually make some moves.

It's not his fault he wasn't allowed to sign until Wednesday
