Braves have done a great job after '21 ws win

FF turned into Aids
WC turned into MethHead
Swanson turned into Asscia
Fried turned into Winans
Soler turned into Kelenic

Gotta love keep the team together.

Olson has been good
Arcia has probably been better than Swanson and at a fraction of the cost
Murphy had a good first year here before getting hurt and I wanna see how he will do with full time duties
Jury is still out on the last 2

Olson hasn't been close to as good as FF and at the same price
Um what.. Swanson has put up almost 10 war to Asscia's 2. how much is that 8 wins worth?
meth head had two months of good play.. then he realized heat and meth don't mix. (he has never been really that great)
but still 9 wins for WC to Meth's 5.. and there is almost your Swanson salary diff right there with Murph.

Fried I mean, you should have countered with Sale
Soler.. again. addition by subtraction I guess..

The impact options are dwindling quickly. Solid SPs are still out there if the hope is a bargain falls into AA's lap.

However, it's important to keep in mind Sale was acquired Dec 30th last year, and we all thought the impact options were dwindling then too.

AA knows he needs a real bat in LF, and there's no way he dumped Soler without a plan to get that done.

Cheap ass organization...period...They are pocketing any xtra revenue they possibly can and are just hoping to compete as much as possible with this tight window with the players they have under control now....So yes, getting below that luxury tax is absolutely priority one for them.

I'm beginning to think AA is sorta punting this season. Not a true punt, but no real additions to get under luxury tax this season since Acuna and strider are coming off major injury. Wait to go all-in next season. I really hope this isn't the case though

It's hard to argue with the logic that the season where Strider and Acuna are guaranteed to miss a large chunk of games is a decent chance to let off the gas and reset the tax penalties.

I hope that isn't the case.

Ummm…no.

Yeah I can see the argument that he's better value, But yeah Dansby has been worth like 5 more WAR than Arcia. But his excess dollar to war is like 38M, while Arcia is like 20M so you could debate some aspects (like other players we were able to get because we weren't paying Swanson that much money) but yeah he's certainly not better.
