Offseason Hot Stove 2024-25 Thread

Depends on the cost for Bichette. Dont think it'd cost Baldwin. But if you could get him for non Caminiti pitching prospects, i'd do it. Have said before AA's gonna eventually have to make a move that'll hurt but also help us short term. Bichette makes too much sense if he's available.

I wouldn’t give up Baldwin or Caminiti but anybody else is on the table.

If you are going to do something that hurts then might as well trade Baldwin. The Braves will need the pitching before the window closes.

Mets sign manaea 3/75

If this is all they do for the rotation, then Manaea, Senga, Montas, Megill, Holmes, Canning and Peterson doesnt really move the needle imo. I guess they'll bring back Alonso as well. Just dont see anywhere else for him to go right now.

Without hyperbole, I'm starting to think AA's strategy of not overpaying and waiting for the right deal may backfire. He could end up making small, fairly insignificant moves or overpaying even more. He may have overplayed his hand instead of addressing the team's needs.

He could end up getting somebody cheaper at the end that had to drop their price or take less years to. I could see Profar taking a 1 year deal later on. Burnes must be asking for the moon bc his market has been really quiet. On the trade front I would guess that everybody is asking for Baldwin.

I defend AA a lot, but man, that Joc deal was a pretty sweet low risk deal for a guy who finished 10th in wRC+ this year. And we already have a history with Joc.

It's the Soler move for me. Why trade him if you're going to be this passive? AA created a massive LF hole with no solution (yet). It's weird. Yes, Jorge should be a DH but it's still an unnecessary problem to create so early without a plan.
