the new Kim and the Old Kim would be miles ahead of Asscia... so I feel a little lamenting is deserved.
I was confused a few weeks backs when someone said there was an early January deadline for Kim to sign…
I used to agree about AA’s willingness to spend big on short term deals until I saw Buehler get what he did and we didn’t even give him a look as far as I’ve read.
If they don’t mind overpaying for short term deals then AA must really have not believed Buehler was worth a one year gamble or he really just didn’t want to be a Brave.
Or we don’t want to spend any money cause of the tax and wait until next year to find a better long term fit for our roster.
To me Buehler was a perfect gamble this year.
A bounce back candidate that won’t hurt your long term flexibility if he doesn’t work out.
At this point I’m hoping for Profar and a RP.
Of course Sasaki would be the dream catch but we all know that isn’t happening.
The Kim that just signed moved off SS in favor of the Kim that’s coming off shoulder surgery. When he went back to SS he wasn’t good enough to stick, and went back to 2B. He has almost no power and probably isn’t an everyday player if he isn’t a SS.
The new Kim isn’t anyone to waste any energy lamenting the fact he isn’t a Brave.
Too many Kims and they all look the same.
Morton to the Orioles.
