Olbermann has shot this appraisement down in no uncertain terms. Said several hundred exist and he even has a bunch. They were freebies that went with scorecards. As one of the Worst people in the sports world.

Maybe the episode was filmed in the early 90s. Or perhaps the cards were just worth more than the US GDP in the early 90s. Either way it's straining credulity with the current state of baseball card collecting.

Are those thumb tacks on the corners? That kills their value. I hope they're screw down cases. Either way, $1 million is a stretch. Even when cards were at their peak I doubt that collection would bring $1M, Still, it's a nice bit of history.
