Olivera traded for Kemp

This can stay.

So I'm assuming we flip Kemp. Unless we trade Neck. Otherwise it doesn't appear a Mallex Inciarte combo in outfield is staying.
 
This reminds me of when we traded for D Lee. Kemp is past his prime like D Lee was but still somewhat productive.
 
Get rid of Markakis' contract and it'll essentially be a wash. In essence we would just be replacing Markakis with Kemp.
 
Would not be surprised to see us trade either Kemp or Markakis in the coming days. But there's really no hurry as both players would easily pass through waivers if they aren't dealt before August 1.
 
The Pads traded kemp for a giy that they are looking to cut and pay a few million per year. Do you believe they didnt already search for takers before taking on HO?
 
I think this means Inciarte is as good as gone this offseason. He has legitimate value and can bring back down thing useful like a MOR pitcher.

Padres fans on their hated Kemp so much some just wanted to DFA him to make room for a younger player.

Really? I am trying to see how this has anything at all to do with what happens to Inciarte. I think it does mean Markakis and/or Frenchy are gone.
