Range is part of defense. If Ender wasn't playing center then Kemp's range would be worse thus his overall defense would be worse. It's simple logic based by statistical fact.
I want you to answer how Nick Markakis (the horrible OF with no range) has shown positive range for the first time in 8 years at the age of 32. I'm really curious how this is possible.
The entire counter argument was the Inciarte couldn't help Kemps instincts, arm, overall defense. The...entire...point..

Wrong. You and others stated Ender couldn't help Kemp because the OF area is so big that it's not possible for him to get to balls in Kemp's area that Kemp couldn't get to. AKA range. It's certainly possible and the 2016 Braves OF is a good example of that.

If what you do helps with a single component of defense it makes the total package better. Just because he's not helping with his throwing doesn't mean he can't help.
So are you saying Kemps defense will be better or his range?
So Inciarte will help Kemps defense, but it hasn't yet. Is that the point?

Kemps defense is terrible. His defense has been terrible here. His defense (SSS) has been worse here than SD. His range numbers are better. Moving on. asshole..
One leads to the other. Range makes up the majority of an OFers defensive rating. If Kemp's range is improved then his overall defense will be better. To your point, yes, Kemp's arm could be so god awful the rest of the season or next that it tanks his overall defensive value to a point lower than it has been in the past. The odds of that are low but it is possible. Still would not mean Ender did not help him. But you know this.
Range is a portion defense. You can improve or decline in range and be still be a worse defender.

Kemp's defense could be worse, no? You're not allowing this to be a discussion about degrees of terrible.
Think of Ender as if he's a tutor to Matt Kemp. He can help him study for tests and help improve his performance there, but his grade can still be bad because he doesn't do his homework and doesn't go to lab.
Better does not equal good. Would you agree if Kemp's range was worse that his defense would be worse than it currently is?

To expand on this...
Kemp recently switched schools, away from his old tutor - an inferior tutor to Inciarte. Inciarte is helping his test grades improve; however, since switching schools, Kemp has been doing less homework and has been attending class less, making his overall grade go down. However, Inciarte is still helping his grade.
