Oliveria taking BP

I'm not seeing Yunel Escobar on the swing. Other than a slight inward knee turn. Escobar usually kept both hands on the bat.

Everything up through the follow through is pretty similar though. Escobar even has the bat wrap as well.

Actually we traded a pitcher who is an injury waiting to happen, a light hitting second baseman and spare parts for a potential multi year all star at third base, a 1st round draft pick, a dominant lefty reliever and a future middle of the rotation starter.

please do not bother.

Might be best trade of all time.

I don't know how we keep trading our guys' floors for other guys' absolute waking-dream tippy-top ceilings, but I sure hope we can keep it up.

Wow that sounds pretty good!

wait does anyone remember when Wood's problem striking people out was actually AJ's?
I do. I guess his 1 K last night is a residual effect.

I just don't understand how we traded a guy who's a cheaper Cole Hamels! They're basically equals.

We basically traded away Cole Hamels and Jose Altuve for a 46 year old prospect who will never see the field.

IDK I'm kinda leaning towards Wood as Chris Sale or maybe even Clayton Kershaw. Once the AJ-effect wears off and he starts dominating, of course. I mean, I guess I'd settle for a David Price clone, but Wood is prob better than that. I mean, have you seen his xFIP from last year?
