The clubhouse was also "FIRED UP" today, per Simpson. With emphasis.

And I want Chip Caray's hair and handkerchief.

At least his resting sweat-bead game is already on midseason point.
 
Likewise, with a mic in his face, Fredi's opening-day dump game is almost on Hart's level.
 
The booth and studio guys all around can't bring themselves to admit we're pretty much in for a LONG season this year.

Then again, I'm expecting this to be one of the greatest managerial seasons we'll see for the ages when Fredi guides us to a wild card berth.
 
Good thing we have a bunch of guys that "know how to play" according to Joe Simpson... Will be exciting!

By the way, contrary to popular belief... we did not get younger. We replace young talented guys with old untalented ones
