That is good. It is a bit concerning that nothing has been said on Folty. But I guess the flip side is that nothing has been said so there is no TJS incoming

Viz's shoulder issues were well known. Minter has never been what one would call durable. Venters' arm is probably more machine than man by now. O'Day hasn't pitched since last June.

This is what aggravates me so much. It's not really about Kimbrel in my mind. Sure, he would push everyone else down in the bullpen to less important roles and improve it, but AA didn't need to go that route. There are PLENTY of guys who signed in the $2-5 million range that would've drastically improved the bullpen.

Yep. Having 5 closers in the pen would be great but it's not necessary. Depth is. The fact that we're at a point where Jackson and Carle are our best options is really frustrating. What makes it worse is neither of these guys is an 8th man in the pen that is just there for mop up duty. That's Tomlin. Carle and Jackson are going to get real innings.

With the health questions around Viz, Minter, O’Day, and Venters how does anybody say we don’t need Kimbrel? We make more sense than anybody. If we keep status quo till the deadline then the bullpen will sink us imo unless we get some stability at the back end and nobody is gonna trade anything till the deadline. Suck it up and go get Kimbrel.
