Remember the name Indigo Diaz who pitches for Rome. It looks like he makes the hitters blue.

A bit of a forgotten item is that Kevin Josephina was signed the same year as Albies and was considered to be an almost comparable prospect. He's hung around as a decent organizational guy, but it looks like High-A is his ceiling.

Franklin, Milligan, and Philip skipped Low-A altogether and Harris had less than 100 ABs in Low A in 2019. Milligan is an interesting prospect. Didn't play much as a freshman at Oklahoma State in 2018, transferred to a junior college in Kansas and tore up the joint in 2019 and the Braves subsequently drafted him in the 9th round the same year. Played catcher in JC ball and the Braves moved him to 2B. Didn't have a great year at Danville, but Braves obviously think enough of him to put him where he is.

If the big club is still "getting by" in the OF - meaning Pache/Ender aren't a complete black hole - Waters' adjustments seem to be taking hold, and Harris and Franklin get off to hot starts I'm now on board with those who think it's pretty reasonable to expect Waters to be traded before the break. As others have pointed out before, the organization isn't going to shy away from being extremely aggressive with Harris if he shows he can follow anything resembling Acuna's development curve.

While my "sources" are far from big name "experts" (they're scouts in different organizations), I've had more than a few tell me that they think Franklin was an absolute steal and that they were shocked that the Braves got him where they did - they expected that he'd be one of those names that popped up that had lots of folks scratching their head when he was taken earlier because he wasn't a name that had been widely discussed in all the typical places.

I think one of the things with Franklin is that he had a tremendous freshman season and a solid sophomore season at Michigan, but then got hurt in a skiing accident before his junior season, which kept him out of action. The other thing I read is that his Cape Cod league performance in 2019 wasn't particularly good after a solid 2018. Scouts can be odd and all over the board, so who knows what goes through their minds. He could be a find.

The Rome team looks like the one to watch early. There could be a lot of promotions off that team very quickly.

Yeah - definitely wouldn't want anyone to put the cart before the horse here.

That said, they get to see him every day now and will have a pretty good handle on whether they need to hold onto Waters as the potential 2022 LF guy if Ozuna slides to DH or whether Harris and/or Franklin could be an option late next season. If that's the case, trading Waters and using someone as a stopgap in LF for the first half of next year begins to make more sense - IF you're getting a fairly significant return for Waters. If not, you keep him and deal with having too many OFs in 2023.

Just not sure that Waters and Wright or Wilson gets you anything significant at this point unless it's from a smaller market club that's rebuilding. Even though he had a rough start yesterday (it's Denver, after all), if the Rockies' new guy is in a position to blow everything up I would still be interested in German Marquez with his great contract.

Muller was not good tonight

He started strong then sucked. He seems like a 90% bullpen guy. I get that we want to try him as a starter and we don't need another LH in the pen now. But he has seemed like an avg to potential high leverage pen arm for a long time.
