Opening Day Roster

come see the braves we’ve got

guy the angels orioles let go
guy the rockies let go
guy the yankees let go
guy on his sixth team even though he’s not yet arb eligible
guy who came back from shoulder surgery throwing 9mph slower
all star “bryce elder”

and that’s just the pitching staff!

Fortunately, the opening day roster is only a symbolic thing. What are the odds that it changes before the end of the first week?

but how many games will it cost us. Neris made it one day but that was one game too many. of course Twit factor implied. hoping WW is not as dumb.

Didn't realize Suarez has actually had a little success as a starting pitcher before. Certainly not great, but I would gladly take a sub-4 era like in 2021 and 2022. He's still just 27.

The RHH side of the platoon is extremely weak. The BP and the rest of the lineup looks very promising.

I’m most interested to see if Snit Jr figures out how to use Didier in short stints rather than wasting him as a long reliever.
Yeah, the variance in the roster is insane.

Suarez has also had some intriguing raw stuff. LA had high hopes for him for a while. If he could get his walks under control he could be a useful back end or long guy.

Sure wish we had tried to get Benintendi instead of Profar

Edit: didn’t realize how empty his newfound power was the past 2 years and his defense has been awful. Still would better than having a suspended player. Lol

Ehh… at least we keep the money when Profar is suspended. Benny is simply deadweight

To start the year for sure. Ideally, Kim comes back by early May and Murphy comes back by early June, which would let Dubon split some time with Yaz and Harris and let Murphy and Drake split C/DH duties.
