oppression AND tyranny

Just wait till this corrupt regime expels the true patriots and fills their military ranks with mentally ill soy boys.

NEVER give up your guns.

y'all know the mandate is just a backdoor ruse to purge our military of all truly patriotic men and women

When the lecturing buffoon gets an anecdote he drives it hard.

It was chicken pox last week. It's Denmark today.

He continues to defend Australias dystopia hell hole. And continues to be certain that all things will go back to normal in the future

His certainty makes me most pessimistic. A track record of failed judgement the likes of which I've never seen

how does Denmark dropping covid passports and mask mandates fit into this worldview

I can't recall any images from Denmark coming out that are close to what is happening in Australia, but it's possible I've missed them. Danes generally seem exceedingly sane, so anything similar would surprise me.

How does the Patriot Act fit your worldview?

Dude still thinks SF is great because he only visits the rich areas when he goes there.

i simply offer a few data points:

1) Denmark dropping covid restrictions once vaccinations reached the desired level

2) Norway dropping covid restrictions once vaccinations reached the desired level

3) Tyrant Trudeau allowing free and fair elections in Canada

4) Tyrant Merkel allowing free and fair elections in Germany

5) The government in Japan moving forward with free and fair elections

dystopian hell holes all of em eh

Remember that the buffoon lectured us for 4 years that Trump was a fascist

Trump didn't even classify the Russia gate stuff to the level that he did because of the long standing tradition of executive privilege which of course was completely trounced over by the current regime.

I WISH Trump was as authoritarian as the looney left said. Country would have been better off.

You do realize the Patriot Act has expired don't you.

But I don't view personal liberties as an absolute. I was once contacted by our intelligence agencies once after making multiple calls to a client in Saudi Arabia. Something about the pattern of calls triggered one of their algorithms and someone contacted me to discuss the calls. Personally, I'm willing to give up a certain amount of privacy to maintain security in the face of terrorist threats. I had no objections to my calls to Saudi Arabia being monitored and U.S. intelligence querying me about them. ymmv

None of it's powers have. They've continuously grown.

Well if you believe that, then I suppose the strenuous efforts made by the supporters of the Patriot Act to pass an extension last year were some form of elaborate kabuki theater.

Three months after Australia’s biggest city locked down to contain its latest coronavirus outbreak, the authorities have outlined a path to reopening. If it reaches a series of milestones in vaccination rates, Sydney will see restrictions start to lift in early October, with the aim of returning to normal life by December.

The city’s five million residents will begin to emerge from lockdown on Oct. 11, Gladys Berejiklian, premier of the state of New South Wales, said on Monday. That is the date by which officials expect to have vaccinated 70 percent of the state’s population over the age of 16, she said. Residents of Sydney, as well as some parts of rural New South Wales still under lockdown, will once again be able to go to hairdressers and attend weddings, funerals and small gatherings.

By late October, when 80 percent of the state is projected to be fully vaccinated, Sydney residents will be able to drink standing up in restaurants and bars, and attend larger events. Unvaccinated people will still be barred from those activities, officials said, but they will be able to attend places of worship. And New South Wales will allow more Australians stranded overseas to return.

On Dec. 1, most venues including cinemas, nightclubs and museums will reopen, masks will no longer be mandatory indoors and restrictions will be lifted for unvaccinated residents. Melbourne, Australia’s second biggest city, is set to start emerging from lockdown on Oct. 26, when 70 percent of residents aged over 16 are expected to be fully vaccinated.

Nationwide, 41 percent of Australia’s population is fully vaccinated and 63 percent have had at least one dose.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has said that before the end of the year, he expects to reopen the border to foreign visitors and allow Australians to travel abroad again.

I'm disappointed in this plan. Hopefully, they reconsider and keep their tyrannical AND oppressive measures in place forever.

it's funny that you freely and proudly admit that you at least support temporarily authoritarianism and tyranny

"Hey, it might not be forever! so the people who can't leave their homes, and the people put into the internment camps, and the people getting maced and shot and arrested for not having a mask on, have nothing to complain about!! 2 years and counting of their liberties being destroy is a good deal!"

The country with the highest Covid vaccination rate in the world is about to shed almost all of its restrictions.

In matter of months, Portugal has gone from having the world’s highest number of Covid cases proportionate to its population, to re-emerging from the pandemic on October 1 with just a few lingering rules.

In January ambulances queued outside Lisbon hospitals while the health services struggled to cope with the influx of infections — in one week 86,000 new cases and almost 2000 deaths — but in just a few days the majority of restrictions imposed on the country will be gone.

Another disappointing development. Hopefully the tyrants of Portugal will enroll in Remedial Tyranny 101 and re-learn their craft. Tyrants are never supposed to relinquish their tyrannical powers.
