Glad to see that you're applying the screws to the illegally elected government Boston Athletics Association.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch...anyone know if Navalny is still in prison. Maybe when that little matter is resolved we can turn our concerns to Belorussian and Russian marathoners being oppressed. Or we can show concern for both!! What a concept that would be. Although imo one is more important. Much more important. But I don't want to judge the priorities of others!
I agree!
The erosion of freedom in the freest country in the world which sets the mood for the rest of the world is far more important than a tyrannical state continuing to be tyrannical.
that's why i highly encourage you and sturg to continue calling out oppression AND tyranny of sort being carried out by the Boston Athletics Association
i actually agree it is wrong of them to institute a blanket ban on runners from Belarus and Russia. These are private individuals. Unless there is reason to believe any of them are engaged in activities supportive of Putin's war, they should not be sanctioned in this way. Sanctions of whatever sort should be reserved for Putin and those who enable and support him.

Does this mean that the president can now fire federal employees for any reason he or she wants?
Also, why doesn't Congress have to weigh in on this? Are the pro democracy seals concerned about that?

A reasonable court ruling concerning a policy decision about which reasonable people can disagree. But NOT oppression AND tyranny. Sorry. ymmv
but my questions still remain:
1. can a president now fire any employee they want?
2. do the pro-democracy seals have any concerns about congress avoiding these issues like the plague?
