First time in my life they've made the postseason. Great job, Ned Yost.

Despite our crap year, it's been a pretty good year of baseball with Baltimore, Kansas City and Pittsburgh all making it to October. Hoping one of those three or Oakland can win it all.

Good year for the Royals. Things came together for them.

They are the team I will follow in the playoffs. Dayton Moore has done a great job building that team from the pits to being a playoff team. He has a strong farm system and a young team. They will continue to get better.

Dayton has had his fits-and-starts and he's thrown a ton of stuff against the wall to see what will stick, but overall I think he's done a good job and, like you say, he seems to have re-built the farm system in a way that should ensure some talent coming up through the ranks.

A lot of people on this board were giving Moore **** earlier this yr when they hovering right at or below .500. Wonder if they will be back to eat crow now?

Those Royals got some real good mirror lookers and butt chewers. Their mirror looking % is over 9000! That's why they are playing game 163 and we stopped around 130.

What's to eat crow about?

If they lose Game 163 then what?

I don't think making the playoffs once in 7? years is that great. I mean, he's a lot of high picks that flopped.
Personally my rooting for them is not at all because of Moore, I just want to see the franchise do well because they've been down a while.

Yeah, I generally root for teams that haven't won in a long time but this doesn't make Moore a success. As many high picks as they have had they should be doing better. This is probably the Royals only chance too because they don't look set for the long term. I hated the Shields trade but based on how their prospects turned out they would have been better off trading their "legendary" farm system a few years ago for established players. So many failed prospects tells me there is a problem with scouting. The Braves trade prospects if they think they are over rated. The Andy Marte trade for example.

I've always liked the Angels, I'll be going for them, the Os, Royals and Athletics. I just don't mind any of them.

Just pittsburgh here in the NL. lol
