OT How Flipping Good was JD Drew?

Drew was a legit five tool player. Jason's tool bag is lacking one tool.

Watched JD (and Steven) as a college player . He and Mark Kotsay spent their college careers swapping awards. He stayed healthy as a college player (almost said amateur ! ) When he got to the Braves it was assumed the fastest runner was Furcal. I remember hearing on the radio that timed 1st to 3rd JD clocked the faster time.

You wanna play what if with JD -- suppose he signed with the Phillies right out of college. Wonder if the cloud that went with sitting out that year and the piss poor PR that went with it would have led to a different career arc?

That's great insight on JD. A strange cat but he really did make baseball look like a more beautiful game.

Having said that, I also feel like there's probably a dungeon in his house. Or that he has at least once murdered a hobo. Or both.

BorASS ruined Drews career. Drew should have been his own man but lets face it he wasn't. Drew should have stayed in ATL.

Drew did that himself but being hurt all the time.

Drew made more than $100 million in his career, won a World Series, has the designation as Unlikeliest Boston Sports Hero ever as a result of his grand slam against Cleveland, played in several postseason series and never had to play 81 games a season in Philadelphia. I'd say things worked out pretty well for JD.
