it's a long season. taking a one game snapshot a hundred games in and then being THAT picky is pretty useless. You try having the same conversations every day for a year...

ETA - I hate writers and analysts who are anti-homerism. It goes hand in hand with why I couldn't care less about SABR (it's valid, probably; I just watch baseball for different reasons). It's this concerted effort to take the passion out of the game and make it about the objectively measurable.

But when that happens, what's the point of being a fan anymore?
