Ozuna arrested on DUI charges?

Wouldn’t he be placed on the restricted list or something like that now? Can we save any of his pay while that’s going on?

Looks like we’re just going to have to eat the remaining two years at this point.

Sick of his fckn shenanigans…he’s been nothing but an embarrassment on our culture and what we are trying to do here. That’s not even factoring in his play. There has to be an out clause in his contract.

What is the league's policy on suspensions/releases for alcohol related offenses? Would this count as a second offense towards the personal conduct policy?

It would be a PR boom to just wash your hands of him publicly and say after you stuck with him before.

Before someone starts the debate, lets go ahead and end it. Yes this contract has turned out to be an albatross. But we cannot fault AA for it because he was coming off a dominant 2020 season and we really needed a right handed bat. At the time, no one was complaining about the contract with the likelihood of the DH coming.....

Since then, his arrest for domestic abuse, terrible play, and now this arrest....? Time for the Braves to go ahead and cut bait.

Fortunately, this turn of events didn't cost the Braves anything in terms of winning and eventually we will get to re-allocate those funds.

I would assume he's on probation for DV. This could land him a little jail time. Might void contract

According to the AJC, he reached a plea deal that included a 6-month diversion plan back in September. Once completed, his charges would have been dropped. So I am assuming that those charges were dropped.

According to DOB Ozuna received six months probation, which would've been completed five months ago.
