depends

if accompanied by a statement that acknowledges guilt, expresses contrition and accepts responsibility i'd be ok with it

but i can't see that happening...it would be so completely out of character

Im not sure how some of these folks are going to fill up all this free time.

Hopefully they can learn a skill. Gonna need some secondary income i'd imagine. Don't wanna become 20 cent!

Based on what? I couldn't disagree with this more. Obama is doing just fine without a pardon. Biden will also have nothing to pardon himself for. I dont even understand where this is coming from.

It's coming from the fact that if Trump is prosecuted (legitimately or not) there will be plenty on the right that will view it as politically motoivated. If Biden is replaced by a Republican, you better believe the justice dept will look for anything they can to prosecute Biden.

It's not about whether there's anything to pardon, it's about prosecutions becoming standard weapons in partisan warfare.
 
I don’t think Trump should be pardoned (since there’s nothing right now to pardon?), but also don’t think Biden should go after him. If he committed a crime in/out of office and it comes to light, maybe we can have that discussion. But I don’t see the advantage in investigating Trump after he leaves office.
