Pastornicky

If it's a major trade... there's IDK... 29 other teams ahead of us. You'd think one team would claim a 2B before us just to block us.

Hate that for Rev

Yes, I posted a tweet; no, I am not PD/JS.

Hopefully J-Hey doesn't think about what happened to much to the extent where he lets it effect his game...

What's the major league record for most players on the DL in a season? How about most roster players with season-ending injuries in one season? 2013 Braves have to be close to beating that record if they haven't already. Need a frikkin' doctor's office in the clubhouse this year....:mad0182:

Yet, opposing fans say we are just lucky this season. I cant believe we stand at 74-47 with the injuries we have had.

Im comfortable with Janish at 2B. Braves can still call up La Stella and I believe they will trade for 2B as well. Uggla will be back before the end of the year as well.

Im not worried about it. Just anxious to see who we will trade for.

Luis Cruz was DFA'd by the Yankees, he hasn't hit this year but did last year. He's also great defensively, so basically another Janish (though Cruz is better than Janish at third) with more potential with the bat. He'll at least give you great defense a la Janish (and unlike Gosselin he can play shortstop).

Gosselin's defense gave edge over La Stella for call. Fredi G wanted someone who could play late-innings D if he pinch hits for Janish, etc

That's crap because you could have actually started La Stella and then use Janish as the defensive replacement. I still smell a trade coming.

Damn. IF ? I would have thought anyone brought up would start instead if Janish

Agreed. Fredi wasn't going to start La Stella anyway. He will go with someone with experience over talent at this point in the season.

I still say that the ultimate reason for not calling up LaStella is that they know it will only be a couple of days because they're close to a trade. They had to know yesterday before it was made public, that Pastornicky's injury was serious, so I would imagine things were put into motion and they just haven't been able to consummate anything yet.

Well, Wren as we know has been looking for a while. I am sure he's trying harder now but with waivers now needed the already thin market is even thinner (names like Ryan Roberts, Elliot Johnson, Luis Cruz, etc). We may have to get someone like Cruz or Roberts and hope they hit better. They have both done better in the past than this year.

This is stupid. We could have used this as an opportunity to see if LaStella is a viable option for next year.

Janish will be the primary 2B until Uggla returns or the #Braves acquire another option. Gosselin could pinch hit for Janish in late innings

#Braves Wren said they'll look for possible trade for INF, doesn't know if will find "right fit...Short of that, we'll go with what we have"

This makes the most sense. Gosselin goes back quietly. I'm just worried they have to deal Schafer or one of the almost-there pitchers. Also, are we sure DeWitt isn't close to coming back?
