For equality we need equal time for equal crime. Do that to an officer with a taser and you are facing attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon charges. Even if the cop gets charged it will be a minor assault charge. If raising the sentences for people who hurt cops theoretically increases officer safety then wouldnt increasing penalties for crimes cop commit against citizens protect citizens? Fight police criminality the same way they say to fight crimes by the public.

that was one person doing it. Do you think it would be fair to let those other protesters who didnt do anything wrong investigate and choose whether to prosecute? How would you feel if those protesters say they investigated and found she did nothing wrong.
