Phillies game 3

With the emergence of SS it will be really interesting to see what AA does in the offseason with the team. Morton and Fried will be gone so that frees up alot of money and with the OF pretty much set already that leaves SS as the main spot to upgrade. Just not sure i’d give Adames the money he is gonna want. Not sure if Texas would do it but i’d rather have Corey Seager who is only a year older.

The offense is a concern, but with Soler and Ozzie returning soon and Riley possibly by season's end, there's some hope. The team's playing with fire, and the pitching is elite. Making the playoffs is still tough, but I'm feeling a bit of excitement...

Would love Seager, i doubt Texas gives him up now. I agree on Adames, plus he'll probably get a QO as well. Not sure what other shortstops are available that are attainable via trade. 5th spot in the rotation has a bunch of different options with Holmes, AJS, Ian, Waldrep, even Elder. Bullpen could use a tweak or two i guess.

Bichette didnt just start to suck so a change of scenery may be needed. He’s not as good as Arcia is defensively but his potential is MVP candidate. The Rangers just won the WS last year but have alot of holes so who knows.

No one asking where the k's for Iglesias today. 11 straight perfect innings and counting. He has allowed 3 hits and 4 base runners since June. Out of this world.

I would love Seager too. I don't know that we will have a lot to spend as they reportedly want to get under the luxury tax next year to reset the penalties. And trading for Soler took up a lot of the money they had to spend. I do wonder if SS breaking out makes AA more willing to trade AJSS and Waldrep. Crochet is reportedly going to be available in the off-season. Crochet is supposedly open to a long term extension which makes parting with top prospects easier to swallow. Pitching is always risky but that would have the potential to best rotation we have had since the mid 90s.

Is it time to give Charlie a look in the pen? AJSS and Ian are pitching great right now

I think we will see AJSS before the end of the season I know they think highly of him and he could be a good option out of the pen if we want. Dudes hitting 100 when starting. I can't imagine what he might get up to out of the pen.

Charlie hasn't been good though.

I trust him more than the "lets see what we have" approach. I don't want him starting in the postseason if they make it.

I would love to see Holmes attached to every mort start personally. basically let them know that both will be pitching and Mort get 2 times through and then Holmes... Scores can dictate of course.

I have always though Braves wouldn't resign Fried, because Braves, but is there any indication out there that suggests they might?

Haven't been following it closely.

I want to say I say something that said Fried wants to go to FA.. The Braves will throw a QO on him and then probably make a average at best offer and then see what the market bears. I still think there is a small chance Fried gets the Snell treatment this offseason and he ends back with the Braves on a Morton type deal to prove his health and to remove the QO.
