I guess it is safe to say that the Braves/Marlins will be slotted into the early games next week
I feel like we played the Marlins 30 out of the 60 games.
Same. I wanted to play the Cubs, in part, because I thought they were the weaker team, with a pretty pitiful offense and a pitching staff that wasn't really scary outside of Darvish; but perhaps the bigger reason was because I'm just sick of watching games against the NL East, and especially Miami.
I am so stoked about playing the Marlins. Obviously, any given day is a narrative to live by but the Braves are clearly the better team in every aspect.
Cards lose 4-0. 5th time this postseason a NL Central team has been shut out, and all 4 teams that made it were shut out at least once.
Every 1st round loser was a central team sans the jays who were demolished by the rays.
How many deserving teams missed out because the central was so bad they got seven teams in. Faillies for sure.
Marlins have never lost a postseason series in their history. Will they break that streak, or will we finally make it out of the NLDS after 19 years of futility (I’m sorry I don’t count our 2 game win as a series win)?
Hopefully Yamamoto will be on their roster.
He's in inpatient therapy. PTSD. Unlikely to be available for 30 more days.
Doesn’t count a 3-game series as an actual series. Counts the 1-game Wild Card playoff. Makes sense.
