Is this going to be a "you post what you think is a positive story" thread? Or are we aiming for an agreed upon definition of "positive"?

and yes I can stay away from here until my beliefs are trampled on in a subliminal way, which he purposely did. So I countered and he didn't like it. Like I take my ball home when someone else calls him.

You and maybe Bedell think I posted that kids story to purposely piss you off and incite you and offend you.

I posted it because I'm happy to see kids organize and peacefully demonstrate for something they believe in. Just because you think they're stupid for doing so, that's your own personal belief. I posted it because of what they were doing. Go to my post, did anywhere I bring up anything about the church or catholic school and what they should do? NO. I posted the link and was praising the kids for their actions.

You and Bedell went off and ran with the ball, creating tension for no reason.

Bedell posts a WestJet Christmas flash mob stunt and then a Charlie Brown video. One a publicity stunt by a CANADIAN Airliner, the other just a cartoon. I didn't complain about either one of those things even though they had nothing to do with this thread.

You come in and post a useless article about Obama's approval numbers sinking. How exactly does that fit in with the theme of this thread? Obama has 3 years left in his term, so it has nothing to do with "hope for the future". The next 3 years could be great for our country, we don't know yet because they haven't happened. But since you want to go ahead and say they're going to be ****ty because he's President then go ahead.

It still does not change the fact you did it to troll. It's clear trolling. You damn well know Obama is a controversial subject and a lightening rod for heated debate. Why the hell would you post that in a thread meant to promote optimism?

I'm optimistic that those kids are standing up for something. It happens to be something that you disagree with. But the fact teenagers and millenials get such a bad rep for being lazy, non-assertive, and entitlement, they go and do something together because of something they believe in, there's no telling what things they're capable of in the future.

I don't care how the hell you spin it, I think it's absolutely sad you think Obama failing and his numbers falling gives you a happy feeling and warms your heart.

You accuse me of indirectly telling you to leave the site when all I did was like bdawg's lord of the rings gif because I thought it was funny. Somehow you read in between lines that didn't exist and came up with the conclusion that SAV was telling you to get the f--- out of my place.

I sent you a very very long apology the first time you left when we busted your balls about being in cahoots with Patio, because I felt it was my mess up. I went out of my way to ask you to come back because I felt I f'd that up.

All these years on Scout and here, a majority of the posters call you a d-ck, a deuchebag, a whiny hypocrite.

I've never once ever said that about you, or cared what they said and just ignored it.

You've proven every single one of those things in this thread alone.

Personally, I don't care anymore if you want to make a big scene and leave and never come back. That's your decision. If you want to be a prima donna and announce to everyone you're leaving because you feel you're being singled out, let me know and I will erase your user account so you won't feel tempted to log back in and come back to the constant harassment and singling out that doesn't exist.

Steaksauce takes a bigger beating and chastising on this website than you do, and he doesn't complain or whine about it like you do. And he doesn't result to the namecalling you do when he's bullied on here.

I don't care what names you call me, I'm not going to ban you or suspend your account because that will just encourage you to keep playing the victim and martyr card that I somehow have some type of vendetta against you. Everyone here knows I don't moderate and I let a lot of stuff fly and don't delete posts. This is the only sub-forum on the site that does not have any moderator staff aside from me being the Administrator. In other sub-forums I instruct my moderators to not really moderate anything unless it's common sense to do so. I ask people nicely to stop flirting or chill out and stop going off topic when it gets personal. I only PM and delete if vulgarity starts flying out.

Whatever, dude. All you said is bunch of garbage. You can believe whatever you want. Your posting history that involves anything Obama related or anything g ay or ab ortion related, you will take a stab at us. What I found out that you are a hypocrite and decry with "trolling". I retaliated, simply enough and saw immediately saying anything good for our country when our president is gone is a good thing and you didn't like it. It has nothing to do with my personal beliefs on Obama. It's the simple fact you should be smart enough to know Obama is a lightening rod for heated discussion, and the fact you'd even mention and bring him into this thread was stupid and trolling.

Once again, where did I share an opinion on the clergy, school or administration? Go back to my comment which wasn't even a comment. It was just a summarization of what happened in the article. I didn't give an opinion or state what I felt the clergy should do and if they were wrong. I reiterated plenty that the reason I posted it was because of the activism on behalf of the kids. It wasn't to piss off you and Bedell or to instigate. You two however felt the need to take it that way, and then you yourself go on posting a stupid article on Obama to +1 me in the two can play at that game garbage.

My personal beliefs on Obama have nothing to do with the fact your article posting was unnecessary and completely irrelevant to the point of this thread.

And there you go again thinking I think whatever I say is gospel. I don't censor anybody here, nor do I force my beliefs upon people. This is a message board, and I debate and sometimes it gets heated but that doesn't make me a dictator as you're perceiving.

And once again, I think any sane person on this board would agree that the fact you take pride in Obama's failure and in a way hope he continues to fail for the next 3 years is not positive at all. I don't care if Bush or Romney were President and you did that. It is completely unnecessary and stupid. Poll number articles come out on a weekly basis, it's not every week you see teenage activism like that.

Which leads me to my rant. Why does the word troll get thrown around so often? Some of us work hard at trolling. So much so that people don't realize when it's happening to them.
 
The students were protesting a fire of a g ay person, WHO BROKED A RULE, do you not think it will elicit a response by me or Bedell?

Like you said in Dook Dynasty, if you do something stupid, you paid the price, the clergy did something stupid and he got fired.

I am fine with the students protesting, but they are protesting the wrong thing. I do not see that as a positive for America.

Again, why is one person is off topic, but anti-g ay bashing is? That article poked fun at the core of our beliefs.

Sorry I can't believe you. If it was for another cause that is not ga y, I don't think you would have posted and that is what you are not understanding. Since it was to protect a g ay person, you thought it was subject worthy. It's not, sorry it's not good for America when someone breaks the law/code and not suffer penalty and cheered.
 
to be honest, to keep the flow, you should have left my failing Obama is a good thing for America because it leads to a change for the better thing alone and we wouldn't be discussing it.

Like Bedell said, what is positive for anyone without upsetting anyone.

Should have let it be, SAV. Some people agree with me, some don't just like your posted article, some agree with the students like I do, but not what they are protesting.
