Post Office to Default Again

Oh, it's hard -- like health care - hard ?

You're actually clueless.

If there were ever an attempt to re-org, you'd be posting here about how the GOP is trying to destroy unions.

If there were ever an attempt to cut back pensions, you'd post here about how the GOP is trying to bankrupt old people.

Meanwhile, you gleefully defend horrid performance. They are incapable of providing the service that is more beneficial to tax payers than the private sector can. They are then promising lifelong pensions to people that they absolutely cannot pay. But yet, there will be no change. Because this is a government staple, and constant reminder of how inept the government is at running anything.

I guess we should now put them in charge of health care

It's hard to re-org such a unionized bureaucratic nightmare

Thinking about this there seems to be 2 common threads that run through your political philosophy

a) people, workers, have no business organizing themselves collectively

b) a general irresponsibility toward governing - or organizing our society.

Actually I have been using the post office for a long time and accounting for wind rain snow sleet and hail it is amazing how seldom there are glitches. As one poster above noted, they really do a better job failures -- I am left to think they do a pretty good job.
In some cases at half the cost of FedEx or UPS

Surprised all you leftists are so content with workers not getting their promised pensions and benefits.

OK then, carry on. let the failure continue.

Not sure why they have to charge anything for their services

how is walmart going to default on any of their obligations to employees when they don't pay em a livable wage to begin with?

lol

who is arguing this: "content with workers not getting their promised pensions and benefits. "?

this is as lazy as the stupid people who say "these workers don't deserve $15 an hour cause these workers over here do more work and only get paid $15 right now" no one was arguing that the other people don't deserve a raise either

it's simple, you show up for work and certainly who work 40 hours a day shouldn't have to scrape by and have to rely on food stamps etc etc etc

it's really ****ing basic

but i personally up walmart goes out of business overall

done so much harm to this country and is just awful overall with a ****ty product

You've gotten incoherent in your old age.

What specificly is your beef with USPS ?
or are you parroting Ron Paul / Koch Bros ?

My **** comes regularly- on time tracked - and has since I was born/
Personally I have had more issues with FedEx / UPS in the past 10 years than I have with USPS my entire life.

And to be clear, FedEx/UPS outside of pricing , I really have no beef with them

I think all 3 serve a purpose

The post office is a failure who is defaulting on its debts to its workers because of its failures.

Being able to send messages and packages is important. We have alternatives who know what they are doing and have outperformed USPS hands down.

y'all can celebrate failure... you should be used to by now. I'd imagine Bernie is still trumpeting Venezuela too.

How are they outperforming USPS hands down? Costs? Nope USPS wins that battle as long as it's not going cross country, even then sometimes they do because of flatrate. Service? All in all pretty similar, except I'll say the one biggest nightmare I've ever witnessed in person with shipping was with UPS cancelling flights out of Boston prematurely and ruining tons of holiday shipments, and Fedex taking 7 business days to ship me something from Tennessee, when UPS doesn't exceed 6 days and USPS doesn't exceed 4.

which part did you somehow not understand or isn't coherent for ya?

i mean, i know you already having the whole argument already played out in your head makes it tough for you to follow a long but i'll try to help ya

for ****s and giggles though, i am curious how old you think i am. lol

Don't really use it.

Every now and then I get a package from Amazon from them.

I use UPS for all my business shipping, because we wouldn't trust USPS to get it there.

i look at the numbers. They can't operate effectively. Time to re-org, cut the staff, ut the pensions, invest in tech

you don't use it but you know
gotcha chief

Don't trust USPS -- why ?
You never answered that question with anything but " i look at the numbers. They can't operate effectively. "

You never answered why they are under funded.

Perhaps it has been turned into an anti union football --- maybe ?

That's unfortunate. In my 15+ years selling things on eBay I've never had a problem with USPS. I've also used FedEx and UPS.
