Post-Season Thread

I'm looking forward to seeing a Braves lineup and roster that's managed in a mostly optimized way. If the locker room can't embrace a guy coming in that just helped his team win back-2-back WS because he's not part of the Braves Way of things, then get them out of there.
Agree, but I hope that there is a serious sit-down to talk about roster construction. Look at the Dodgers. They have a set of guys that can not only play multiple positions, but play them well. Braves simply do not have that and that really limits in-game maneuvering.

Hard to say much, the the Blue Jays gave up a game-tying home with one out in the ninth to a below-average hitter. That's the game. Brutal loss, man, but that's beyond stupid.

This all day. The pitching needs work but the offense and bench needs a lot of attention. We need 2 guys that can play all over and play well on both sides of the ball in case somebody goes down and we don't need a DH only guy that's why I've been preaching about Bellinger and the versatility he brings.

There was an article somewhere that said Ozuna rejected three trades. In that same article it said there was gonna be a focus on rotating guys through a DH to rest and that meant finding a few more players that weren’t defensively challenged.

Wow- IKF got zero secondary lead on that grounder or he scores standing up
I would argue he was limited in the lead and secondary he could get because the third baseman was pretty close to the bag. If dude hits a line drive and he's halfwayish down the line, it's a double play, inning over. It was the hitter's job to hit the ball to the outfield and he couldn't do it.

Not in that situation, he could get another 2-3
Steps easily- and that was after that ball was hit and he was still 3 feet from the bag

That was the Jays series to lose and they did. The Dodgers pushed all the right buttons in game 7 and the Jays couldn't.

They had like 7 hits through 3. Incredible not to have blown it open.

Also they had a lot of outs on the basepaths, those are usually back breakers

Taking Bichette who was a beast this year and had already given you the lead out of the game when you knew there was a chance it would go to extras was a huge no no.

He only needed an extra step and could have easily extended his lead by 3 (the rule of thumb is to be the same distance from the base as the fielder)
