Profar Suspended 80 Games

Meh...Is what it it is...I would rather it happen now than 80 games in....All of this doesnt change the fact that someone that has a long term deal needs to step the fck up and be a god damn leader for this sh*t show of a team..Olson and Riley...You....

Also, until they stop the Yankees from experimenting with their bats that allow them to hit fckn 5 HRs game, I dont want to hear sh*t from MLB...

Man 2025 picked up right where 2024 left off. We are jinxed. An even bigger black eye for AA now.

Are we witnessing the end of the AA era in real time? What happens if the team misses the playoffs and attendance nosedives?

One creative route I hope they consider - when Murphy returns, give Baldwin some reps in left field in a hybrid catcher/LF role. Kiley McDaniel reported during the offseason that the Braves considered it down the stretch last year to get Baldwin’s bat in the lineup, so we know they’re at least open to the idea. Obviously being a rookie catcher is a lot to learn on its own, but it seems like our best bet to get offensive production from that spot.

It would also be helpful to prepare him for that role if we make the playoffs and then lose Profar again for that and avoid having to throw a dud like Kelenic back out there again.

Ozuna got boo'd too because he sucked as well as the DV stuff.

Now he's pretty much neutral/cheered by the fanbase.

Interesting to see what happens to Profar.

Hasn't been a good go of it for AA lately, but I still believe in him. If he tries to extent Snit once more, I will give up on him. 4 years removed from the World Series win now, so the sentimental ties to Snit with the fanbase should mostly be gone now. He should already be preparing the organization to move on from the old relics.

On the bright side, at least the Braves will be paying him for 3 years after his new muscles whither away and he’s back to being a 0 win player.

This team has a very wide performance margin they way it is currently constructed. They simply don't have the resources to acquire a roster full of "sure things". If all (most) of the uncertainties break our way, this team can still challenge 100 wins. That means: Acuna and Strider coming back early and performing at close to their established levels, Sale making it through the season in good health, Olson and Murphy being closer to their '23 rather than their '24 selves, Profar showing that last year was no fluke (can kiss that one goodbye already), general luck with injuries, and so on.

On the flip side, they can just as well be a 3rd place team, if most things break against their favor.
