As an "older" fan, the thing I think about when seeing these is twofold; 1) there are 28-year-old fans who have no memory of the Braves sucking the bottom out of the National League year after year; too many of these people need a healthy dose of Russ Nixon and Nick Esasky and Len Barker to understand why the 90s and beyond are so special. I was seven when I first noticed baseball at the big league level. Of course, I didn't live in a major league city, either.

2) there are teenagers walking around who don't remember the Braves winning the World Series.

Nine years is too freaking long to have gone without winning something, as good as some of these teams have been. It almost seems like the Yankees and Cardinals have some secret October formula that precludes choking.
