"I Can't Breathe"

uh, ok

you're welcome

If you have no regard for anyone but yourself, then why post the picture?

I'm personally a Jon Stewart fan and don't primarily disagree with what he said. But if you have no regard, or if you don't grieve, why post?

Please enlighten us.

cool story

you're right, cops should have unlimited power and shouldn't be held accountable at all

So you have no problem with someone saying they can't breathe, when in fact they can? You are ok with them making false statements? So you only hold cops to standards?

Pathetic.

i do have regard for most people other than myself

i posted the picture cause it shows the point of a lot of people on the debate have though

why would i grieve them though? if most people are honest, they don't grieve many people either when they die. they only grieve the people really close to them like family and friends.

i hold people that should be held to higher standards to higher standards

yes

just cause some low life piece of **** does something, doesn't mean you should do it or drop to their level etc

it's same argument with torture. "but look what they do!!" completely disregarding that we are supposed to be better than they are.

this is such a hyperbolic reach. it's using, like, buzz words to make a point when it's a pretty strong straw man.

what are you talking about? the point of the picture wasn't that he grieves everyone that dies, or cops that die.
Police officers are important. Most of them are good. You can have that opinion and still be disgusted when they overstep boundaries, use excessive force, or cover things up to keep it "in house." It happens too much without repercussions. They mostly get away with things that a large majority of people wouldn't get away with, simply because they're a cop.

But everyone wants the bad cops out.

Haven't we had our fill of the sarcastic "all cops are saints" or "all cops are evil" quips?

I think it's pretty clear that no one believes either of those things, so what point is actually being made?

Wilson and this NY cop should have never been in the force, no common sense.

In most of Wisconsin cities and counties, when there are two perps, you wait for backup. In Iowa you wait for backup regardless when a felony was committed.

Since Joe Hero had to shoot in self defense, which I agree with, but he should not have ever been in that position to begin with, just like that pussy Zimmerman, if he done what he was told, nothing would have happened, but yet people side with them. Wilson lost his job because he was a pussy ass idiot that did not follow what he should have done using no common sense. The NYC Italian named cop I think will be fired as well and will cost the city tax payers millions for being what........ a f-cucking idiot. Now the Cleveland cops, pussies they are, will be fired and will cost that city millions of dollars. The Georgian incident, will cost the city/state millions of dollars because again, f-ucking idiots.

We have too many cops that are f-ucking idiots.

My cousins who are cops are not idiots but they are dirty as hell. They will look the other way when a crime is committed, you know, selling marijuana by habitual offenders as long as they get their cut and other things. They tell me if they aren't stabbing, assaulting, raping, and shooting peeps, it is not a concern to them. This is the city (Chicago). My grandpaps past away as chief of police and even he told his deps to let the small stuff go unless it happens all the time, but they warn them to move their business elsewhere (marijauna) but if it was meth labs, he gave them only one warning to dismantle and move somewhere else or you going to jail.

Who is saying this?

You and others.

I respect Toma, because he has common sense and would not do what these idiots done (Ferguson, Georgia, Cleveland, NYC). My wife cousin as well. He said department policy prohibits them from engaging when there are two or more perps. Although, he would took on Brown alone and probably took him down. He is built like a Mack truck and an all-stater in wrestling and took three different types of martial arts.

Cops never do anyhting wrong. They never cover up when they screw up either.

I think it's pretty obvious they do things wrong. A chokehold death via cop is not acceptable. I don't in any way condone it. Unfortunately some people put themselves in positions that can lead to problems. How many times had the chokehold guy been arrested? Was he or was he not breaking the law in some fashion? He didn't deserve death, but was he a law abiding citizen?

I have a hard time feeling sorry for the Ferguson guy. The image of him pushing around a shop owner half his size, then attacking a cop in his own vehicle? The shop owner could have shot him. Would any of you feel sorry for him then? Nope, probably not. It's only a big deal if the cop is at fault, or a white guy is at fault. Or if the cop is white.

On the whole the police are a good force. Having none to enforce safety and order would be scary.

Keep your nose out of trouble, and it's less likely trouble will come to you.
