I’d think a self proclaimed data guy would want good data, not a load of nonsense. There’s nothing essential about race, so injecting it into your data set is only going to obscure.
The thing about working with data is that more often than not its messy and guess what - I still need to produce insights to decision makers.
This idea that there is nothing essential as if race is a complete non factor is pie in the sky leftist kumbaya bullshit when in the real world lots of things can be inferred (ACROSS A LARGE POPULATION SET) just from race.

To be clear on your position, SCOTUS was wrong to overturn affirmative action because race IS essential and we should consider individuals based on arbitrary group characteristics.
Nobody should be give more opportunity because of race. Talk about a strawman here.
You keep living in your imaginary world where tribes don't display similar characteristics.

Race is either essential or it isn’t. If we’re going to punish people for their immutable characteristics, why wouldn’t we similarly give them a boost? They can’t help it, after all.
My goal is to ensure the streets are safe for my citizens. As usual you revert to theoretical arguments that aren't applicable in real world situations.
Whatever information is useful to keep law abiding citizens safe is good information to have.
