Race

guess we are silent on the "reparations" after y'all didn't read the actual story about it

There's no real story yet, just a couple of generic paragraphs. The devil is always in the details...we'll see what it looks like when they actually try to execute these programs.

Exactly, theres not a lot of detail there. If they actually help people im fine with it. But my money is on a govt program that doesn't do what its designed and ends up being a corrupt slush account for buddy businesses like most govt dole outs.

The Tea Party was never worried about big government overreach.

They were mad a black man overstepped his place.

That's it. That's the whole damn thing.

The Edmund Pettus Bridge must become the John Lewis Bridge.

We were beaten, we were tear-gassed. I thought I was going to die on this bridge. But somehow and some way, God almighty helped me here. We cannot give up now. We cannot give in. We must keep the faith, keep our eyes on the prize. "

"It’s hard to think of another American who did more to challenge America to face her demons,

to be her best self, and to respect the dignity in every living soul. John Lewis was a man

of conscience, when the world was watching and when it wasn’t."

-Deval Patrick

Once at Hartsfield Int Airport I walked into the mens room to release.
The open urinal I chose had next to it a small round AA man
Whilst I unbuckled myself the round man turned to me and gave me a smile that I still see.

I walked away realizing, That was John Lewis

Learned a lot about smiles that day

Shame he didn't help black people as much in his later life as he did in his early years. Still lived a full life.

Shocking as always that they would reduce Dr. King’s work down to this one quotation. Should we take a stroll through the rest of his thoughts on race relations in America?

When did America lose a sense of humor? If you're taking the Bee this serious, drink a beer and take a break from politics.
