That’s what happens when you are a responsible human being and make the right, not lazy, decisions in your 20s.

Was born into very little. Single parent home to an immigrant driving a taxi for 16 hours a day. Lost my mother at 8 years old. I basically raised myself and got to where I am now so I’m damn proud of it and fully believe anyone who isn’t successful has only the person in the mirror to thank.

Want to start a side business. Large accounting departments all house their financial data in advanced consolidation systems that require coding knowledge. I understand the accounting from beginning to end. Now it’s just about the coding side to automate consolidation rules and processes to create interfaces with general ledger systems.

I’ll make millions someday with that combination skill set.

I got in early enough. Started around mid June. Up over 200% on a nice chunk of change.

Will be worth million in 5 years.

I view things like his as luxuries. If you’ve got your **** together enjoy it. If you are still making close to minimum wage then get out of the fantasy world.

I remember learning python, it's fine. It was a hell of a lot easier than learning C++ and C. But the real problem is unless you're applying it daily, you're not really "setting he and himself up for the future"

Fortunately I have full access to IBM TM1 system and can apply what I’ve learned. While it’s it’s own language the principles learned from python for syntax and structure are easily applied.

Me and the lady have gotten to the poj t where we make enough money and have enough saved to.literally do whatever we want.

The sacrifices we made in our 20s has allowed us to maximize our lives today in our early 30s.

Although... she works a lot harder than I do. She's a lot smarter too.

Sure. I've never been tiger hunting or whatever rich white people like doing.

But I mean let's be real, there's nothing truly great that money buys you other than convenience. What's the difference between a 3 and 5 star hotel? I've slept in both and the differences are super negligible. Onetime we hopped down to AC for a night and rented a penthouse, and it was fun, but it wasn't amazing.

For me I'd rather go to a convention, ball game, just walk around a city, go to a museum, go to a show. Like anything that stimulates my brain, not just things that are experiences.
