Loved that top of the order. Was a big shame when he got hurt. He wasn't even 30 yet at that point I believe.

I want to say it was an all-sar game he was in but Furcal is one only playrt I can remember being awarded home plate instead of 3rd on a ball that landed down the left field line but was interfered with from a fan while Furcal was on first. Speed kills.

I’d read he was going to retire here in Atlanta, but apparently he switched at the last moment and is now spending his retirement in Los Angeles.
