Rain gonna be an issue?

My weather app is showing 40% chance of rain tomorrow, with rain being in the evening. For Saturday it's showing 50% chance of rain but in the morning.

So I think we are gonna have plenty of light showers floating around north Georgia Friday and Saturday but I cannot imagine them being heavy enough to keep the games from being played. That being said it’s gonna be damp cool air. Prob gonna be uncomfortable out there for the players

Hopefully it rains hard tomorrow night. Push it all back a day, then start Fried on regular rest in game five.

Let’s just go ahead and postpone Friday night now to be safe.

As much as I like the Fried Plan (I think he's fixed, location was a little off), I think both games go off. We're about 100 mi NE of the stadium and it's drizzly but only a few heavy cells here and there last couple days. Assuming that continues, they'll play. It'll be chilly, though. Not bad for a kid from upstate New York, I hope.

Probably to our advantage. Trust us more going head to head with them in a tougher hitting environment vs. them just going off.

What am I missing on why we'd want today rained out for Fried to go game 5. Doesn't that just set-up for game 6 to be a bullpen game instead? Is thinking just that we are better off delaying it as far as we can to a game that theoretically wouldn't happen? and then Fried could even potentially be used in a game 7?

Well right now, we basically have pen games for games 4 and 5

I guess the thought would be that we would have our best going a game earlier, less likely to have our backs against the wall. Also, Fried at home

Doesn’t the home team get to decide these things

There will literally be a few minutes of sprinkles at the most... it would be a crazy dumb decision to postpone

I don’t doubt that. My response was tongue in cheek.
Anytime I can hate on that stupid double header rule I will.

Wasn't really towards you... but I heard they are having an internal call at 4pm eastern to make the decision (I'm close friends with a private forecaster who is with one of two vendors providing input to the Braves). I'm sure its just a normal protocol thing but if they cancelled the game, it'd be so embarrassing.

FYI it looks like the tarp is on the field. It's not the raining here at The Battery though. There was a very slight drizzle earlier

I work about a mile north of the stadium. Its been raining on and off all day. The radar shows a lot of green to our west, but not a lot of really heavy rain. Going to be cold and misty tonight.
