Randy Ventura

Noooooooooooooooo

Does this mean we lose the poster, too?
Noooooooooooo

We traded him to the Peace Corps already
It ain't that easy. I may not be able to watch games as much and my internet is like 240p streaming level but I'm still keeping up with the shenanigans.

He changed his name to Bonus Pool Slot. That, or Cumberland's Hit By Pitches.

Can I actually do this? I like Bonus Pool Slot. If I choose another player, they'll just be cursed to leave the team for bonus pool money anyway...

How about HR allowed?

No, as long as Julio Cesar Franco lives, so does the dream.

Plus, changing it to Julio2586 would ruin the homage to another ATLien legend.

May I suggest ExtremeFlyBall...meaning can vary with context

YoungPadawan isn't taken as far as I know

that's about the expected surplus value of the 800th rated minor prospect
i eagerly await enscheff's trade analysis to tell me if the surplus value is aligned

Kind of surprised we got that much pool money for him, honestly. Sigh.

I like that too. Combines two of my interests - Young Money Entertainment and Star Wars.

It's up to the head honchos, I guess. I'm good with the suggestions or something like Ray-Patrick Didder's Secondary Assists.

We are limited to 300K per signing bonus. So this is doubly weird.

I do think this signing period and the next will be an interesting experiment. I don't mind spreading our international funds among 20 or 30 players who are decent but not elite prospects. When they are that young that might not be a bad strategy. Of course we have no choice but to pursue that strategy.

If that's the route we take then I'm fine with that. We got guys like Albies and Acuna for 100K. I can't even find what we paid Ventura so it was negligible. That 1.2 mil could go towards continuing to fill the pipeline.

Can the bonus money the Braves received be traded again to another team? If so building up pool money could be a good strategy for making future trades

Wow, thats a big chunk of money -- considering what the big money guys get on the open market, Ventura was obviously valued pretty highly.

Anybody know when that money needs to be spent by? Can any of it rollover to future periods? If not gotta imagine we will trade some of it.

We already have enough to buy 18 - 20 300 K guys next year.. very strange trade. I mean, Ventura was not going to play in Atl.. but why for int'll money.

It's climb outside the box time. If the Braves can trade for Int'l money, they can trade it away. If they amass a few million they can't spend, then figure it being a big part of a big deal.
