I thought Mania was very good. I just think it’s too damned long.

Can’t stand Lars Sullivan. I still think he looks like Snitsky.

BIG NEWS!!!

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross, who recently signed with All Elite Wrestling, appeared on WFAN Radio in New York City earlier today and said AEW will have a weekly two-hour live TV show that premieres in October.

JR did not reveal the timeslot or the name for the AEW TV show, and he refused to elaborate on what network will carry the program. Ross did say the AEW TV show will air on a major network that we all have access to.

"[AEW] is overwhelming for me," Ross said. "To be 67 years old and be anointed the voice of a brand that's gonna be debuting in October on national television on a major cable network, which can't be named now. When people hear what network we're going on, they're gonna be doubly excited. It's a network we can all find."

Ross also said AEW is going for a more athletic presentation compared to what we see on TV from other promotions these days.

"I think what they're shooting for is a more athletic presentation," JR revealed. "It will hopefully be less eye rolling than the sophomore drama class trying to convince you in a 10 minute promo of anything they're saying. It's too long. Our audience can't handle that."

As confirmed, Ross signed a three-year deal with AEW and will make his commentary debut at Double Or Nothing on May 25, but he will also serve as a Senior Adviser to the company. His contract was called "the most lucrative deal in pro wrestling commentary history" in the AEW press release.

The rumor is it will be on TNT. Holy crap!

I hope the “sports feel” means we are not going to have any stupid Joey Ryan dick ****. I hate his schtick.

Jesse Ventura isn't doing a whole lot these days. The whole Governor of Minnesota thing didn't turn out to be great for his marketing. I say put him back in the booth!

Vince hates Jesse. HATES. Other than Macho Man savage, their probably isn’t anyone higher on Vince’s **** list

Oh boy, that would be great for comedy.

But no team was greater than Ross and Lawler. NONE.

I always thought Bobby Heenan was in a class by himself as a color commentator. I grew up watching the old AWA and Heenan was a manager (and sometimes wrestler) for that promotion and he was awesome. He also ran the schemes (feuds, character flips, etc.).

I remember those days, later 70's when we got TBS or another station, Wahoo McDaniel, Iron Sheik, Mr. Wrestler II, Great Kubuki and most of the wrestlers would do their own promo's before the match and it was awesome.

I think it was either Saturday or Sunday and then my cousins and I will do matches like them, no broken bones, but we did get hurt. It was our weekend treat. Their mom would get pissed when we got hurt, we did not have cable on our side of the river yet so my parents take me over there. She patched us up and we are at it again.

As the WWE Universe continues to rally around Ricochet and his family following last week’s devastating news, several NXT Superstars have come together with a special fundraiser to help the family in their time of need.

Last week, Ricochet revealed that his mother’s home – the house he grew up in – was destroyed in a fire. Looking to turn a negative into a positive, the former NXT North American Champion launched a GoFundMe fundraising campaign in hopes of alleviating the strain and bringing a silver lining for his family. As the initiative continues to draw support many of Ricochet’s NXT peers came together and launched a special fundraiser on eBay, called “The Ricochet Family Fund.”

With this initiative, members of the NXT roster will donate items to be auctioned off, with all proceeds going toward Ricochet’s mom and family.

To participate in The Ricochet Family Fund, visit the eBay page here. Auctions start tonight and end on Monday, April 29. See the start times for each NXT Superstar below. Each Superstar’s auction will end precisely one week after its start time.

No. He is from Reidland, Ky, a suburb of Paducah ( around 10k people, ignore wiki). I will ask my aunt. She knows a lot of people in Paducah being a powerful woman. He did not go to the normal churches so he probably does not know many people in the city proper.

I would donate if I can, I have things I don't need and if I have to drive 10 hours I will.

The wrestling documentaries on VICE are definitely worth checking out. The Von Ehrich family one coming out next week is getting some major good reviews

I watched the replay of The Killing of Bruiser Brody at midnight and that was some BS how the other wrestlers lied and only Tony Atlas and Dutch Mantel told the truth and Dutch didn't get his subpoena to court until 10 days after the trial and the murderer (another wrestler) got away with it! I'm not trying to be funny but Bruiser Brody looked a lot like a much larger Elias when he had his hair pulled up in a ponytail. I said I'd watch that and then go to bed and then they replayed The Match Made in Heaven (Randy Savage and Elizabeth) and then The Montreal Screwjob after that and I ended up being up until after 3 am, all of the episodes I have seen so far are must see tv.
