REAL FOOTBALL Thread

Agreed but there was still no realistic difference maker available… you keep just ignoring that part.

Whether they could have gone a different direction or not is something we don't fully know and in any case is immaterial at this point. Fact is they're screwed. They're too good to get to the top of the draft and get an elite QB prospect but they can't legitimately compete without a decent QB.

They're gonna have to get lucky with a QB falling or else get lucky on a non first round QB.

Big win for titans. Might be a lost year for bengals. Can reload with some top picks and a healthy burrow.

Cue thethe coming in to tell us how talented AZ is, and they would be dark horse to win the NFC if it wasn't for being in the same division as the Niners.

Meh, I would rather us lose. Burrow clearly isn't 100 percent and his OL is trash. Bengals defense also isn't very good as the Titans gashed them with ease. It really sucks being in mediocrity. Your team is good enough to give you a little hope but bad enough to not really be relevant. And of course you aren't bad enough to end up with a high enough pick to get a truly elite talent so you gotta hope your GM can evaluate talent or your screwed for another 4-5 years until the next GM and coach comes along.

Bottoming out is always the best approach in sports. Think about being the Jets right now and trying to figure out how you beat the Bills?

Look like a solid squad to me - Dobbs has a good idea what he is doing back there so they'll have an interesting decision to make when Murray is healthy.

I don't understand how their OL is trash.

Like it was mediocre last year then they splashed on Orlando Brown. Like I feel like there's a coaching issue going on.

I mean it's pretty easy to see how the Jets beat the bills.

1. It's week 1 and the Bills didnt' play starters often in preseason and had a rough start
2. THey spent all week gameplanning for Rodgers and obviously that went out the window.

The consensus at the time seemed to be that niners overpaid for CMAC. That looks amazing considering the results since.

Its more likely (1). Not like the Jets were moving the ball up and down the field.

LMAO. Dude they have no talent. Dobbs is as much an NFL starting QB as Tyler Huntley is. And this is coming from a Vols fan who loved seeing him on the Titans last year. He is not a starting caliber QB.

AZ also has zero talent at the skill positions aside from Hollywood Brown, who is more of a good No.2 than a true No. 1. And they have a bottom 10 defense. Even with a healthy Murray, this team wasn't winning 8 games.

I haven't looked into it. But their guards were getting beat bad all game. Granted we do have an elite interior pass rush with Simmons, Autry, and Tart. But still, the Bengals Guards looked like ass. Burrow didn't help either, holding the ball too long at times. I think a healthy Burrow likely moves around more to create throwing lanes.

I think the thought process was more that he wouldn't stay healthy. So far he's proven the doubters wrong.

And yet they still won, lol. Bears are trash.

Bears need to nuke the team. But the good news is right now they're in position to draft number 1 nad 2 which means they can get the QB they want and then trade out and get more draft capital. Even if all that capital is a few number 2s and a future 1.
