REAL FOOTBALL Thread

It's pretty awful. NFC has to be the heavy, heavy favorite for whichever of SF/Phi/Dal comes out.

Eagles are toast. Defense past the front four stinks. Hurts not close to what I thought he was. Nobody is afraid of their running game.

Dallas looks solid but play well against everyone but Niners.

Don’t trust Goff and they just got blown out by bears.

Maybe packers get hit if Love is finally becoming wha the org thought he would be.

Looking like a rematch of 2012.

I do agree the Niners are a bad matchup for Dallas. Dallas has a brutal schedule left, so Philly probably ends up winning the division.

The only team that’s beating the 49ers are the 49ers.

Like last year they are head and shoulders better than any other team

Dak doing what Dak does best.

Terrible turnover in an important game. GTFO he is mvp over Purdy.

Dak has a higher QBR, more passing TDs, and fewer INTs… Purdy’s been awesome but Dak has been better. And I can’t stand the Cowboys. You’re obviously a blind homer in everything you do so I will take my impartial view over your clear bias.

Purdys efficiency and success rate is much better than Daks. It’s not purdys fault he’s played so well that he doesn’t have tot how the ball in the 4th quarter as much.

Daks been good so he deserves consideration. Purdy is doing more impressive things that have not been done in a long time. Consecutive games with 70% completion percentage. Yards per attempt. Just amazing efficiency.

Purdy's been great. Way better than I expected. But it is Dak's to lose right now. You also can't count out Lamar who could still potentially put up another 3500 passing, 1k yard rushing season. He's having his best year since his MVP season.

And no one really cares about a 70% completion rate streak except for Niners fans. MVP will go to who has more impressive overall stats. Dak and Purdy are separated by less than 1% in completion % by the way, and that's with Dak having more about 100 more passing attempts. Dak has more TDs and less TOs. MVP is his if the season ended today.

As always your unabashed bias is shining through. Everyone except Niners homers agree it is Dak’s to lose. The 2 cherry picked stats you provided don’t mean much compared to the standard counting stats.

Well the betting markets have Dak as the favorite but thethe’s lapdog showed up so that seals it!

I'm well aware that you are focused on the most basic of stats.

Its not a surprise at all to me.

Yet, all the stats back Purdy as of now. I guess because they see the talent surrounding Purdy as doing most of the work they lean toward Dak.

You still talk a lot of smack for a little bitch. lol. I guess this is what passes for payback in your mind when guys used to stick you in the locker in high school.

Brock Purdy revs up the MVP debate. With Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts all off their games, the MVP race is as wide open as it’s been in years. Enter Purdy and his sensational supporting cast. That’s where the Purdy debate will begin and likely end. He’s not even the most valuable player in his own offense (Trent Williams). Heck, he’s not even the most valuable skill player (Christian McCaffrey). How can he be MVP? Maybe because arguably no one in the entire league is doing his job better right now. Because what is Purdy’s job if not putting CMC, Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk and George Kittle in position to make plays? Purdy does so with frightening regularity. It’s easy to talk Purdy’s way out of the MVP race. It’s harder to admit he fully deserves consideration.

As of now, Purdy's passer rating and adjusted QBR are both higher than Dak's. https://www.espn.com/nfl/stats/player/_/table/passing/sort/QBRating/dir/desc

Purdy also has slightly more yards than Dak despite nearly 100 less passes. The only advantage Dak has is 3 TDs and one less interception. This could change in the next 4 games but right now Purdy has been slightly better.

Which makes Dak's completion % and less interceptions even more impressive than Purdy's.

I just don't get this argument - Show me the QB that does things without great talent around him.

Dallas has the better offensive line. Purdy has actually been pressured as much as any QB in league.

Lamb is as good and probably better than any reciever on the niners. Fergueson is a good tight end. Pollard is a nice back.

Purdy went INTO Philly and had a better game than Dak had in Dallas against philly.

Not saying it should be hands down Purdy but I think hes been a better QB this year.
