The stats say Kaep has had a better season than I thought he was having. I guess thats a good sign.
Aside from Seattle who have they played that's tough though? I guess you can excuse him for Indy since he didn't have Davis. But 2 bad games shouldn't have someone who you think is top 5 talent that far out. He's not been having a good season considering what he's got to work with.
Pretty sad that after Boldin, and VD, Bruce Millier is next with receptions at 11.He played well against Arizona who has a tough defense and Houston is still considered a solid defense. Seattle was a buzz saw that he wasn't ready for sadly. Indy, Davis was hurt and it has taken him a couple of games to get healthy. As long as he has something out there Kaep has been good. Boldin even said this year that he has seen the most double teams of his career. Thats basically teams saying, "We know Davis is hurt right now and the 49ers have nothing else on the outside that warrants more than normal attention". Not easy to post stats with those circumstances. Now that Davis is close to 100% that will change and especially if Manningham comes back.

Thankfully that is about to change. The team is starting to become more explosive on offense and that should continue.
Yes, slowly Kaep isn't being coddled by the offensive play calling. He is such a better quarterback when he is able to use his legs. I feel like him and Griffin are in the same boat, but Kaep is a slightly better pocket passer.
Who knows, maybe this undisclosed foot injury was hampering him more than anyone thinks. But, I think like you that they are being too conservative with him.

I don't that being a viable excuse for not putting up good numbers. If Ryan can throw like he did against Tampa with Harry Douglas as his number 1, then I can't see why Kaepernick can't throw against anyone but Green Bay and whichever bad team they played last week.

Geez, Tampa is brutal and Carolina is going to be a tough game for everyone.
Glennon would be the Vikings best QB by a landslide.
I'm pretty sure I could beat Josh Freeman in a QB battle.
