REAL FOOTBALL Thread

Dude you have no clue about the NFL. Sure there is minimal momentum, but it's not like baseball where you carry momentum to another game. Everyone in the NFL plays every game at 100%. Doesn't matter if you're the Jets or Niners, you go out there to win cause you may only get 16 chances to impress someone.

Wow, you are so clueless. So a team doesn't get any better or worse as the season progresses? Are you kidding me?

Being better or worse as a season progresses has nothing to do with what you were talking about. And the Ravens got worse as the regular seaosn went on. They went 1-4 in their last 5 games losing at home to the Steelers and Broncos and on the Road to the Redskins adn Bengals. None of them but the Broncos are great teams. All winnable games.

Sure they may have played better inthe playoffs but that has nothing to do with what you're insinuating. The Niners got torn up by a mediocre at best offense. Flacco abused them. The same Flacco had worse stats against the freaking Pats.

I guess Peyton Manning and Tom Brady should be ashamed as well.

I wonder how many years it will be that Ryan falls flat on his ass.

Yeah, the Ravens were playing great football once they made a few minor adjustments prior to the playoffs.

OL really came together once McKinnie moved to LT, as well as having Caldwell as OC.

Their defense made enough stops when they needed em too.

And they were healthy for the most part.

Ok then, what QB should they replace Ryan with, whose an upgrade.

It's gonna cost around 10-15 million to get a viable QB realistically speaking.

I didn't say get an upgrade....I said, play out the year and see what happens. If Matty, melts, again...you don't pay him 100 mil. You go get a veteran QB, or draft one and put that 23 mil a year towards bettering your team

Budden is a bucs fan, so he doesn't realize what it's like to have a Franchise QB and what that means. Their best QB was Brad Johnson.

Which veteran is that.

And where the Falcons will probably be drafting, 20's-30's, they won't be able to get a top flight QB.

You can have an All-Pro at every spot on the field, if your QB isn't viable enough, you can't win, period. In todays game, you must have a pretty stable QB to win.

So what does that say about Ryan abusing the 49ers because you can't have it both ways.

If Freeman blows up ala 2010 style and they have to pay bank for him, i wonder what he'll think.

As you said, the Ravens pretty much screwed up the QB market.

I'd love to see a list of teams who let a QB of Ryan's caliber go at his age and didn't suck for a long time. Only one I can kind of think of is the Rams with Green, but that isn't a fair comparison cause Warner clearly won that job from him. And Green didn't have close to Ryan's pedigree.

Chargers gave up a better QB than Ryan and they were fine for a while.

You don't believe in momentum for the playoffs if you win big games, etc.
